Grandparents’ Morning at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre

Are you the grandparent of a child or young person with Autism?

This invitation is especially for you.

Hands

We acknowledge the contribution of Grandparents, when one or more children with Autism are part of the family.

If you would like to know more about Autism, and the research undertaken at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre, we invite you to attend a FREE event. You will hear from our researchers and be able to ask questions.

  • Friday 9th September
  • 9.30pm Morning tea, for 10am – 12pm Meeting
  • The Chamber, John Scott Meeting House, La Trobe University, Bundoora
  • RSVP: 7th September, 2016

To register online click here.

Topics covered will include:

  • ASD Research – Past and Future
  • OTARC’s research projects

When we last held this event in 2014, it proved very popular, so registration is essential, as numbers are limited.

Directions to the venue and parking arrangements will be sent to registrants closer to the event.

If you have a question for our researchers, please send them beforehand so that we can group your questions into themes. There will also be plenty of time for questions from the floor.

We look forward to seeing many Grandparents on Friday 9th September, 2016.

How do I differentiate between bad behaviour and uncontrollable meltdowns with my 2 Grandchildren with high functioning Autism, aged 6 and 8? It seems that if they are denied anything or told no they will almost always throw a tantrum.
